Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

FEMA is an organization created under President Jimmy Cart in 1979. FEMA's mission is to support the citizens of the United States and first responders to promote building, sustaining, and improving the United State's capacity to prepare for, pretect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards. It has an annual budget of $28.7 billion (2020), is under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
